Harper Macleod are delighted to be supporting Team Shetland at the forthcoming NatWest Island Games XVII in Gotland, Sweden.
Shetland has an 129-strong squad for one of the biggest multi-sport events to take place globally this year.
"Karen Woods, Chair of Shetland Island Games Association said: “Team Shetland are delighted to have the support of leading independent law firm Harper Macleod, who have such as strong pedigree of backing sport. We’re proud to represent Shetland and grateful for the support of a local firm that values the contribution of sport to our island community.”
Paul Rutherford, Partner at Harper Macleod, said: "We are proud to be able to support the team as they represent us all in Gotland. The NatWest Island Games are a fantastic occasion – I can remember this time 12 years ago when Shetland hosted the event and it was tremendous for everyone involved. Team Shetland did brilliantly that time around, notably finishing just one place behind this year's hosts in 7th place on the medal table, and we'll be cheering on every single competitor this time around."
