The plot slopes gently from west to east and there are opportunities for views of South Whiteness Voe. The larger than usual size of the site should allow plenty of space for a detached house with a decent garden.
It is proposed that access the existing access in the south-east corner of the site would be utilised. Water, electricity and telephone services serving neighbouring properties are understood to run close to the site therefore servicing the site should be relatively straightforward although purchasers should satisfy themselves in this regard by contacting the various utility providers directly.
Outline Planning Permission was granted in in 2015 (Ref: 2015/121). There is an existing septic tank on the site serving a neighbouring property. This will either need to be moved or the proposed dwelling house sited to avoid it.
Moving the tank (if required) and complying with the terms of the planning permission will be the responsibility of the purchaser.
Local Architect Alan McKay has produced plans for a possible house which have been favourably received by the planners (see drawings) but this is simply one indication of what might be possible on the site, and other designs will be possible subject to approval.
To reach the site, take the South Whiteness road from the main road west just past Wormadale. The site on the right almost exactly a mile from the junction with the main road.
