‘Bjorg’ is attractively situated at the end of a side road at Brunt Hamarsland, just over a mile from the main A970 road north at Girlsta. The situation allows the property to enjoy superb unrestricted views across the voe of Catfirth to Nesting and south along the east coast of Shetland to Bressay in the distance.

To reach the house, drive to Girlsta approximately 10 miles north of Lerwick, and take the turning east to Brunt Hamarsland at the south end of the Loch of Girlsta.

Follow the road for just over a mile to a cattle grid right at the end of a long straight stretch of road (do not veer right just before the grid). Continue along the track past a grey agricultural shed to a cottage and green shed on the left. Continue past the cottage to the right and follow the track around to the left to ‘Bjorg’.

Local shops in the area are situated at Nesting, Whiteness & Weisdale (take the road to the north side of the Loch of Strom), or at Voe to the north. There are primary schools at Tingwall, Nesting & Whiteness. Built in 1995, ‘Bjorg’ is of timber frame / timber clad construction. Windows are double glazed and oil-fired central heating is provided by a boiler in the utility room.
